But won't the face look too long then, TF?

On GIMP, go to the layers, if the head is all one layer, merged down all, then it's fine. Right click on the layer and click "Scale Layer" or "scale Down Layer". Enter the number of pixels and will automatically scale down. So from 512, maybe scale it down to 450 or somewhere near that.

Tell me if it works out.
