Ping timer?
I was sparring today with hattersin and my internet cutted for 30second, it caused ping time out. I was wondering is it possibble to add an option or something else what would make able people set timer to ping for the room they have created (they would be able to set time what game uses to try reconnect the player so match would not be cutted and players would be able continue) it would be very good for people who are making spars and parkours so they dont have to edit the replay till end or lose it.

The ability set time would be, becos in normal matches the waiting time would not have to be so long (probaply)

^ With that I mean no, I get BS disconnected quite often and with a faster ping timer I'd probably ping even more often. Also, duel / bet exploits and stuff.

they would be able set pingtimer go off if room gets changed in duelmode?
, i was supposed to post this to suggestopns/ideas

A "ping timer" wouldn't make a difference to your scenario. If your net cuts out then you've lost the server connection, no amount of timout prodding is going to change that.

How it would work: When player loses connection it would " pause " game and try to reconnect player in given time, if it would connect in given time it would continue game from same spot, but if it wouldnt connect in tht time the match would cut and next player in line would come to new match (like it normally goes after ping)

Im not sure if it can be added but some games like call of dutys have system close to tht (it tryes reconnect host if his/her net cuts and sets new host if cant)
Not exactly same but close to.

Wont work, if the connection is lost then it's lost. It's not up to the server to look for the player, games don't work that way - it's up to the client to announce it's existence & to respond when required within the set time.

Even if the manual ping timer was removed from the servers it wouldn't change it, if your connection drops or the traffic chokes you'll hit "ping of death" territory regardless. The only difference being that it ties up the server for longer, the outcome is always the same.

All CoD does is place you back into the same game where possible, following that logic you'd be dumped at the bottom of the queue in TB.

The better solution would be to fix your net problems since that's the root of it.
