You are in a room with three light switches. in a separate room there are 3 light bulbs. each switch turns one bulb on. you cannot see into the other room at all. You can only go into the room with the bulbs one time. How do you find out which switches go to which bulbs.

A man lives on the top floor of an apartment building. Every day he takes the elevator to the bottom floor and goes to work. Every day he comes home, takes the elevator half way up and takes the stairs the rest of the way up, unless it is raining or someone is with him. then he takes the elevator all the way up. Why.

Two fathers and two sons go fishing. they all catch a fish. They go home and cook all 3 fish for dinner. How is this true.

And this one pissed me off for like an hour when i first heard it.

Three people check into a hotel. They pay $30 to the manager and go to their room. The manager finds out that the room rate is $25 and gives the bellboy $5 to return to the guests. On the way to the room the bellboy reasons that $5 would be difficult to split among three people so he pockets $2 and gives $1 to each person. Now each person paid $10 and got back $1. So they paid $9 each, totaling $27. The bellboy has another $2, adding up to $29.
Where is the remaining dollar?

Bellboy: $2
People: $3
Owner: $25
= $30. The riddle is just in the wording, though this doesn't answer the question actually

Also the other one, it's three generations from one family: grandfather, dad and son.
