halo ppls, I am not particularly a fan of toribash's art base, but I thought why not post my first photoshop attempt in here since I put a lot of effort into it and I like to brag about my accomplishments to boost my motivation and shizzles.


So here it is






I worked a couple of hours on that, I used almost exclusively brushes. Some other tools whose name I don't know in English as well, I guess, but mostly brushes. )o(




So uh, gimme all your criticism for me to take into consideration.
I probably could have spent a lot of more time with that spoon but I got bored, so I probably won't edit it according to your suggestions.
I will, however, keep them in mind for my next big shading project.

Shading isn't very good imo. I strive for realism.. Still need to improve a lot, which I intend to do with my next shading exercise: A glass bottle.


I thought about making toribash heads, but I don't find them too interesting as they have no real use outside of this community, and I wanna do art for art's sake, not for profit's sake.
Maybe I will make heads if I get nblx's texturing thingy running.

It's pretty good, but I'm guessing you're new to art if it took you a few hours to accomplish that? (Usually for somebody it would take about maybe 10 to 20 minutes at the most)... Just not sure if you're new to art;P.

Anyway, looks nice, you could have sharpened the edges and then blurred the inside and just sharpened the edges again. That way it looks like there's reflection on the spoon that is a little more realistic and the spoon won't look so rough all together. It's like using a chrome filter, it's all blured and blended, not really any hard lines like this has

Looks nice though, good for inspiration (I mean for you etc)... Some other things that you can do for inspiration is just making random shapes into things. Like an Ironman holographic target system, just use outer lines of circles and get it done. Great inspiration and gives you new ideas every time. I use it when I'm doing art to sell (not on toribash, don't do art for toribash much), it just gives a new perspective on things and you can even possibly use it in the art So yeah, best of luck with making textures and any type of art man. Hopefully you just understood what I said ;p
