This may be a biased opinion because I do in fact own a Hector Relax, but I'm sure everyone would like to see this implemented.



Similar to the image above, Hector's head texture will be displayed like a joint texture upon activaton. Back when I was an Item Forger, Solax started a discussion in the Item Forger's hidden board about this topic, but nothing really came of it. However, we know it is possible, and we know they're at least thinking about it.

This may also lead to other collector items having some cosmetic effects as well (siku's piano plays a sound when X occurs, tomato splatter on ground or next to name when Highland Tomatoes are activated, etc).

What does everyone else think?

I have mixed feelings on the matter.

On end of the spectrum: Why? Aren't hector relaxes like 450k? Basically the price of an entire joint texture set? Those items wouldn't and shouldn't be in direct competition with one another. Additionally, if this get's passed then it sort of set's a precedent that collector's items should in fact have a purpose and use outside of collection.

There's even confusing elements. Like if it's a hector relax, does that mean it's only a textured joint for your relax's and not your force? Does that mean you can get a joint texture on the base color of your hector relax? That's freaking joint texture ception right there.


So...mleh. I don't feel a need for it. It might've been something really awesome had it been done years ago when anybody remembers Hector and joint textures weren't going to be a thing in a long time. Think it's sort of too late for this feature.

Wouldn't mess with the market, if you are worried about that.
It is way too limited to even affect textures, seeing as the relax cannot be customized.


Would be a funny idea, imo.
Collectors items as of now are really low in demand. Giving it a real purpose would enhance the market, if anything.
