Toribash
In which case I will step in here and cnc both to get everything back under control.
Editing Shortly.

Jclark: Honestly not all that much to cnc, most of the movement is pretty dang fluid, so I guess I'll just tell you my favorite bits n whatnot.
the twists and stuff you do after that running bit were pretty dang good, it's unfortunate that you didn't get a very good position when you guys
first clashed, but hey you know. in fact that's prolly the thing that I find a problem with the replay is there isn't much fighting, you twist and flip around
and whatnot but you don't do much slashing. Also just one really nitpicky thing, around frame 860 doesn't look all to good. I'm actually pretty scattered
tonight so I suppose i'll leave it at this. if you feel like I haven't given you much or anything just tell me and I'll look at the replay again and try to give
more thorough cnc.

on to Kershner's replay
The start was rather generic/whatever and the twist was slow/could have been put to much better use. maybe experiment by contracting the knee or the hip of the leg you're pushing off from? you didn't seem to react well to the other guy slamming into you, which wasn't your fault and it'd be pretty hard to do anything with that, but your recovery also could have been better. in fact everything as a whole could be a lot better if you weren't so afraid
to use your arms. let em hang free man, it's cool. ain't no one gonna judge. Not much else to say, the rest was kinda bleh and the hits were really weak. as I stated above, if you think I haven't cnc'd you well enough just let me know and I'll edit with better stuff later.

here's a thing I did I pinged which is why it's short so it should be easy for whoever to criticize it. I'm pretty rusty so there's that too.

wow that
sucked
You both seemed a little... slow and out of control of your tori's.
It was kind of unrealistic, and you just fooled off your momentum as soon as you gained it.
But who am i to judge, i bet i cant do better myself.
5/10

I'm gonna post a spar later when i get home. ;)

So, I'm new to the RSO, and was just wondering if this part is still open. I'd really like to get some CnC on my replays that I have to offer. First off however, is the CnC to Nearly's knock.

Although short, the openers on both part were great. Lots of momentum was used to propel yourself towards each other in a twisty, and acrobatic fashion. The connections were clean for the most part, and your comebacks towards each other were great. Because this replay was very short however, it is difficult to give further critique.

For my own replay, I want to begin to use more flips, and momentum when I spar. So in this replay, please try to comment on the execution of the flips, and how I dealt with knock back. Anyway, here it is. Enjoy.

PS. I'm sorry for the keyframes, I have no idea what they even are, or how I put them into the replay. If needed, you can also do /opt tori to only view me.

Hey Jubularity, i see in that replay Uneko and Jclark are sparring, not you and Rolandman. Maybe you should post one of your own replays for us to CnC, unless you are Uneko.

I see that sitting down and spinny reversing movement opener thing a lot, but i enjoyed how you executed it smoothly. I also like how you continued your spin by kicking the ground with your left leg, great form you got there. again, at 1300 I love what you did. you didnt go for a generic spinny jumping kick like i always do and you kept your flow nicely.
I dislike how your glutes were spread while you were punching at 1230. also you kept those glutes extended for about.. 60 frames? that seems to be a stance most people use while they are punching and i think it was kinda lame.
The crescent kick after that was marvelous. again, your body looked weird at 1100 with those contracted hips but i really like how you kept your movement going.
You should have stopped after you punched his butt, the jump before the pose looked random. nice pose btw

overall, I really like the parts where you weren't touching rolandman

ok if someone can tell me which parts of my replay suck more i would greatly appreciate it thanks
btw i edited the last kick because my opponent pinged like 10 frames before his foot touched my head

I'll let this one slide for now since you're new, but please include at least decent cnc in your post.

I love your style. You have great fluidity, and a strong use of your momentum. The acrobatics preformed were smooth, and each had nice landings. I felt that there could have been more connection in this spar. Although the connections given were very interesting, they could have been more in number, and could have been a bit cleaner. I know you are a much better sparrer than I, but I know what I like, and how others can improve. The final punch was very clean too, but by extending your leg at the end, you created too much sideways motion, and it did not seem very realistic. Over all though, this spar has a lot of character, and was very well done.

I decided to do my own spar today. Now, this isn't my best spar, but as I am trying to get used to a more aggressive, and acrobatic way of sparring, I needed to practice. For this spar, I was practicing attacking with each move, which is why many of the movements have kicks in them.

Some self CnC: I really liked my opener. When I was doing it, I didn't think it would pull off, but in the replay, it looks pretty interesting. Following the opener however, I broke the flow. I was going to flip, but it would have brought me very far from my partner. After this, we got a little too close. It was fairly muddy, although I did have a pretty decent sweep kick over my partners head. After we began moving away, I really liked my movements. I kept the flow of my arms, and had good momentum. Much of the movements had attacks in them as well, which was what I was going for. As well as the attacks, I was trying to be more acrobatic, which led me to my final strike, which was an impressive leap at my partner, to a kick in the head. The landing could have been better, but as I did not have enough momentum post-kick, I could not finish the rotation. Instead, I used my arms to push myself up- better than falling on my face. The pose was OK I guess. Usually, I stand, and I've gotten really good at it, but he wanted to end it, and I didn't want to topple, so I had to settle for a ground pose, which wasn't the greatest regardless. Sorry for the long frames during the pose, but an ending was needed.

Please leave some CnC. I'd really like to hear some comments, and how I can improve in my sparring skills. I've only been at it for around 2 months (probably less), so I'd also like to hear how well I am doing for that time frame. Generally, I stay away from this kind of spar, but as I have begun developing the desire to become a more acrobatic sparrer, instead of a puncher, I decided to give it a try. Enjoy.

P.S. sorry for the long post! I try and give as much CnC as possible.

You ghosted both your hands through your leg at the beginning. If you want to be realistic you should definitely avoid that.
The setup in the opener was good, you could have got some spins out of it but you kicked the ground with your left leg way too early. When you jumped in the air you quickly lowered your shoulders which didnt look too good.
The back kick was pretty cool. after you kicked him you got a nice spin, you contracted your right hip too much before the landing and you ghosted your arm again. What you did after the landing was bad. you just kicked the air and fell down.
i like what you did after you got up again. You jumped on your opponent and you swung your leg over his head. i would contract my left knee in that kind of position to make it look more powerful and that contracted knee would be a useful setup for a launch later.
Your opponent was in a horrible position and he kinda ruined your movement too and he threw you off balance so i wont blame you for that part.
The last jump was really cool. I didnt expect you to make a quick jump forward like that. It would have been ALOT more stylish if you didnt lower your arms in the air. The kick was well aimed but you could get a lot more power and make it much more stylish with some slight changes.
The landing after the kick was quite bad. pose was ok

You should work a lot on your style and flow. When you jump in the air you just lower your arms and contract your elbows. that doesnt always look good.
get into freeplay and mess around and do some spinny stuff. That way you should get a hang of how to move your body to make your movement look better.

I hope i made sense
