Those were times when you had committed ppl around. You could set a room by GMT time and ppl would join at the set time of the day and play stuff, even before the BigBro. They actually would make a shift in their life schedule to come and play TB for event.

These days it hard to make players to do that since they are much younger and have an attention span of a gold fish. If you write more than 3 paragraphs in your event descriptions, thread is soon filled with: But, what do I have to do? What is this all about?

Make something complex and its a cluster fuck. And if they lose a place in event because they didn't read the rules and event description,it's momentarily: this event suck! I want my money back, knje-knje-knjeeeee...

Basically, you have to use crayons and small sentences so the most of the player base can understand what's what. I mean, there are even guys from uni that doesn't like to read long stuff (yes, William, I am looking at you)

But, attaching an astronomical prize to the event usually woks, which is again counterproductive for Nabi.

Bimonthly (still kinda strecthing it imho) / special ~month long themes are great idea. Let's hope that GMs adobt the idea.

Utilize it.

when gk's were around (and i think there were less of us) we could come up with themes, and several events every month; we even had some videos.

and if the gm's can't, you could always set up a thread where the community votes on several different month ideas, and have the gms come up with the events for those months.

also it wasn't just the event people who made ideas for events, other moderators can always bring up cool ideas too. 1 event per month it will take a while for the ideas to start becoming shitty.

i say bring it back for at least a year if not, try it out for a few months and see how it goes, it really couldn't hurt and i can bet that members will be interested in the idea

Shame because it was pretty funny. Vanity is clearly more important than fun. >_>

^This.

Player base is greedy or TC value have dropped too much that small prizes doesn't attract ppl anymore.

What is small? 15 K, 20 K, 30 K, 50K, 100K (those where regular prizes sometime ago)

Now its: 100K, 200K, 300K, 500K, etc... USD, no QI items...
The long and the short of it is:
Promo team is never coming back

regardless of how it was viewed, it was pretty awful and only served to make a handful of PT members very rich.

The reasons you're saying aren't reasons to bring back promo team, they're just things you'd like the gms to do, in which case why not just suggest them/do them. Geez.

All this thread is, is pointless nostalgia and wanting to bring back an old thing because of "the good ol' days" ignoring any argument to the contrary.

Also, the point about prizes, guess who's responsible for that massive inflation?

Here's a hint, rhymes with homoteam
She/They

Yeah, I only don't like erthtkv2 because of the mod's name. Make it "tkv2," and the mod will instantly become more popular. This is a valid reason as the name of the mod is still an important feature that no one seems to have yet discussed.
