I have a samsung laptop, recently whenever I plug in any headphones sound only plays through the left ear, I have absolutely no idea how to fix this so any help would be amazing.

It's most likely a hardware problem rather than a software problem. I have a phone with a really shitty headphone plugin, and I can only hear out of headphones if you push on the jack at a certain angle.

I'd suggest getting it looked at, or checking if anyone on the internet has the same problem.

yeah it's the balance most likely. just click the icon in the little pull up menu in the bottom right or search master volume and use that panel to make sure it's correctly set.
