CoD: Ghosts

Stuff and stuff

The CoD website can be found here.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is a 2013 first-person shooter video game developed by Infinity Ward, with assistance from Raven Software, Neversoft and Certain Affinity. Published by Activision, it is the tenth primary installment in the Call of Duty series and the sixth developed by Infinity Ward. The video game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U on November 5, 2013, with Treyarch handling the port for the Wii U. The game was released with the launch of next-generation consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

TmarTn is a great Youtuber that brings the latest updates to the game to his Youtube channel and has a lot of helpful videos on how to improve your skills.

Please do not post in this thread if you're going to trash talk the game. This thread is for people who enjoy the game to talk about it, not a bunch of senselessly following idiots to repeat the same argument over and over.

What didn't you like about Ghosts? And did you play competitive? Also, Blops 2 was one of the most competitive CoDs so far, if not the most competitive. Did you play that one?

I agree with your opinion on Mw3. One of the worst so far. Mw2 was really good, and Blops was my least favorite.
Ghosts is pretty alright. I have managed to play until 2nd prestige, but the game is so repetitive. The main story wasn't all that great and the multiplayer is so try4 with so many campers, etc. Not my style.

MW2 ftw.
Chickster: I literally don't know why I did it.
Yeah, I never play the CoD campaigns. I played a bit of Mw2's, can't stand them.

I find the "campers" in Ghosts are much less frequent than in some of the other CoD's, like Mw2, Blops, Mw3. It seems the "campers" turn into decent players over time, thus giving us less "campers".

Also, camping can easily be countered by basic map knowledge and gun skill.

Yes, it can be overcome, but it gets boring after a while. I can't play TDM for ps4 without at least half of both teams camping.

Also, it was a good game, but seriously,

Nerf the dog please!

That's your problem. TDM is where all the new players play, and sense there's no objective other than to stay alive and get kills, the corner is a great habitat for the new player.

I'd recommend trying Domination, Blitz, SnD, FFA, etc. Much less getting shot in the back.

Also, you can play in Clan v Clan where dogs aren't allowed. Well, no killstreaks other than specialist perks are allowed. It's kinda like League Play in Blops 2 but there's no seasons or ranks. Just CODEsports rules and such.
i liked ghost when he came out, theres wasnt alot of kid who camp (sorry only complain here)

i like how you dont have alot of life, in all cod i like to play on hardcore, more ''realistic''

mw2-mw3 sniper ftw

bo2 i was playing with shotgun, was fun and arbalest.

i really like how they changed the scope thing, it change alot the gameplay of a sniper who's used with old zoom.

i would give 6/10 to ghost. i hope the next one will be better ( when i mean better, its for what i like of course)
no u

Had to download a FOV changer and graphics config to make the game atleast playable.
they also changed the way the guns handled, from MW1-3 and even the blops games, the guns have always been easy and comfortable to use, with a solid feel that when you click, you are rewarded with a solid "thunk" sound and feel from the gun, Ghosts guns are like pee shooters, feels like im shooting pellets.

On the other side, i really liked the class setups, i liked running a knife class guy with the tac knife in previous MW games, not the shooty knives blops nonsense, but Ghosts did it brilliantly, dropping all your guns leaving yourself with a knife and a thousand perks, brilliant.

for console, blops was the most competitive, but for PC, CoD4 reigned as the supreme champion and will always be the best CoD. fact.
CoD4 is the only CoD that got sniping right, dedicated servers, lean left, lean right, good, big, properly competitive maps, more than 5 people in a TDM team etc.

Ah, we have different experiences. I play on console (pls, some games are better on console), so I don't have those problems.

I know what you're talking about when you say you feel like you're shooting pellets. I feel like only a few guns do that (like in every CoD). Did you ever use the Mtar-x, the Vepper, or the Vector? They all have very satisfying shooting sounds. Guns like the CBJ-MS or the SC2010 have that BB-gun feel that you're talking about, which is one main reason I never use them.
Hmm. That's strange. I actually have a lot of fun on Ghosts. My main problem with other games like Blops 1 and MW3 was the terrible hit detection. In Ghosts, the bullets go where they say they're going unless you have a bad host, which isn't all that often.

To put it out there, here's my list from best to worst CoD's (not including Ghosts because its life cycle isn't finished yet):

Blops 2, CoD 4, MW2, MW3, CoDWaW, Blops 1

At this point in time, I'd probably put ghosts between CoD 4 and MW2.
