I haven't wanted to improve in Toribash in 2, 3 years maybe. Especially in wushu. But I'm attempting to do just that now.

Sparring 1 on 1 with an old friend. GGs today.

All of my ranks will tank, including my win loss, but gains will be made.

Couple days ago TIcux was in quick wushu with me, and he was playing some brown belt. He does this sexy improv and goes up like 50k points. He then DQ'd, going for this absurd strike that was risky as hell. I asks him why, and he told me if I want to as good as I use to be, I have to be willing to take crazy risks.

Really stuck with me. My ranks quadrupled, I lose games I coulda won, but I can feel something coming on. No idea what it'll amount to.

Yeah, it's much more better and fun doing good plays then just doing the same boring shit you see everyone else do.

It's not even about creativity. I just want to jump out of people's expectation and surprise myself with what I can be. I gotta coach myself haha, been spending too much time studying the elements of e-sport players not to apply it.

Creativity, in my opinion, is a big factor in improving and getting better.
If you're not being creative/doing something new and different then you're not improving. Well, you're improving the same stuff you do over and over, but you're becoming more predictable and you'll get stuck on some invisible plateau where you can't get any better.
