Debating whether or not I should buy the biggest rat I can find or an iguana

Every iguana I've ever been around has been mean as shit which is the worry I have.

I've had plenty of bearded dragons and they've all been fine, the one that just past away after 7 years used to literally live on my coffee table. It just sat there and ate flies and bananas. But supposedly iguanas are different.

Definitely not buying a rabbit. I want a Savannah Monitor but they eat live rodents and I'm not willing to do that since I like rats and such. Next step down was an Iguana since they're herbivores but they're pissy so I don't want one of those either. I want a big ass rat but I'm not sure how to go about getting a rat that size that doesn't live in the sewer.

ask thiggist, he has two pretty big sized rats but i'm not really sure about how he got them or if it was really a big deal to get them
