Tonight I'm streaming how to make duo-tone images of mecha-suits or just a mecha-looking characters, maybe soldiers... Possibly women mecha-soldiers in futuristic armors. ;>

Product of the tonight stream.
This is basics of the duo-tone art where characters are colored in 2 or three layers of color, main color, shadow and highlight.

Free for use. Not mapped or anything, it was just a training stream...

Mapping looks fine ingame. Some small changes to the front part would have really made it something special. The back is lackluster to say the least.

Another stream tonight. This time I'm gonna try something I'm not good at: drawing anime characters.

To draw anime characters it's needed to make some different approach to it. I saw some of the examples on the net and I think I can pull this off... I will not use ArtRage for it, because ArtRage is limited with making precise, solid lines, but I will use Adobe Flash, that is a program for making animations, but has superb vector graphic tools.

I've prepared a T-hirt design tonight, gonna print it tomorrow. ;}

I'm gonna try some new stuff today. I saw how ppl are making art using stock photos and painting over them.

Idk how it goes, i mean I did saw some youtube videos, but how will it work in my case I really don't know, but its nice to try new stuff...

So, I've added some post-processing in PS, some more glare, shadows, I've shifted the light source a bit, changed colors into more yellowish and this is the final image.



Is it a faster method? I must admit that it is. Is it a better method? I'm not convinced...

Tonight, again, i will make a T-shirt design. Idea is to draw some character from Diablo III (or based on it) in black & white, convert to one color design, vectorize it and then print it in duo-tone. Character has to be large (to cover the whole left side of the shirt)...

So, here is how the t-shirt will look. I wanted it to be black drawing on white t-shirt but someone suggested grey variant and it is better like that.

Tonight I'm gonna go to the Art thread and take someones work from there, steal it, ink it and color it!
