ye olde ps3 downloads still take forever I see..
[19:59] <Lazors> man it's a good thing people don't see what i write here
I would agree that the multiplayer is nice, but for Activision and Infinity Ward sake why the maps are so fucking small? For the new features like the EXOs the maps are to small, i just crossed a map with the EXO in 20 secs wtf. Also the ping is too annoying on PC, why max ping 800 Activision for jesus christ?
The thing I find the most satisfying is whenever someone gets a beat on you, they miss a few shots, or hell, not even kill you. Maneuver a bit with the exo boost and end up getting a kill on them instead. Or when there is a little skirmish between you and 1 or more enemies you I side dash between left and right and walk out with a double, or sometimes, a triple kill. I'm definitely better in this cod than past ones. Also, there aren't a lot of drop shooters. Which is great

Alright so I've been playing the came (a lot) and I have mixed feelings so far.

Pubs are great and I have a blast grinding them. The supply drops make the game so much more fun. Nothing better than getting a bad ass Elite helmet after a game. So far Uplink is my favorite gamemode to play in pubs (though SnD gives you the most XP in general).

I've been playing a lot of competitive, and at the beginning, it was a bit shaky. Hardpoint was really hectic with how fast the game is with the exo suits and the map size. Due to how fast you can get to one place from another, people are kind of all over the map and it messes the spawns up quite a bit. People started putting a 2.5 second respawn-timer on to help the spawns adjust to the exo suits, and that helped quite a bit. The new hardpoint with the respawn-timer is a lot like Bo2 Hardpoint, which was (arguably) the best gamemode in competitive CoD history.

On GB, the rules are all kinds of fucked up so I won't even talk about that. But on UMG they seem to be getting a hang of it. They have the SnD map rotation down to 5 maps (compared to 8 maps on GB), and have banned the "Cloak" and "Stim" exo abilities.

The third mode has still not been decided. They're deciding between Uplink (what the creators of the game really want as a competitive mode), and CTF (what all of the Pro players, and most of the community want). They've been trying to tweak uplink so it's better, but the game has only been out for a week, so time will tell. The main problem with the gamemode is that you can throw the ball literally all the way across the map to your teammate (there's a button you can press if you're looking toward a teammate, and the ball literally hovers to them at a very fast speed and can go any amount of distance). This causes people to just camp the ball respawn, throw the ball right when it spawns to their teammate that is camping the enemy's portal and score over and over again. I think if they get rid of the passing mechanism entirely (you'd have to toss the ball like you would toss it into the portal, which is not a very far throw), they could probably make it pretty competitve. Also think there should be a 2.5 second respawn timer and possibly make the ball respawn at 3 different points (at random) on the map instead of the same one every time. This would require teams to spread across the map, instead of all of your teammates in the same spot camping the ball respawn point.

The game's only been out for a week, but I feel we have a great year of CoD ahead of us. In both the competitive and casual scenes.

my scores in this are higher than i would usually get in previous CoD games, but i still dont feel like im better than i was in past games.

But da jukez. I actually have a clip of a guy shooting at me from behind (I wear a headset, so i can hear which direction he shot at me from) me turning around, dodging behind an A/C unit (prison map, forgot the name), dodging back to the right and getting a kill on him. I wouldn't say its completely lucky since you need an idea of your surroundings and which direction to go in.

Also Clay, I'll add you on x1, my gamer tag is indoorblakninja, so you'll know who i am

Ok I only play on clan accounts on Advanced Warfare for now. Sometimes Vapour_VibeZ and mostly Aerial_VibeZ.

Here are my opinions
The sniping is smooth, you can still quickscope, noscope etc the only sniper that you can't noscope with is the Atlas, that gun is extremely accurate for quick scoping..
The MORS is the best sniper by far, the elite MORS is the MORS quickbolt, so the bolt action animation goes way faster which is good for feeds. Trickshotting in the game is the best I've seen, you have so much time to add complexity into our shot (I'm a trickshotter myself) an you can get an 1800 just by double jumping off the ground, I'm yet to see someone hit a 3600 if it's possible, sure it is. I love the trickshotting on this game. I'm yet to get the MORS quickbolt though, I got the Atlas elite version or professional version not sure which. But add me on my psns Vapour_VibeZ and Aerial_VibeZ I'm on ps3
<Icky> Butler is the worst es
<Reta> can I fire him yet ?
I've seen many videos of the game, never played it myself.
It looks pretty good, but i'm not a call of duty fan, so i don't know if i would get it but it looks like a really good game and yeah PS3 Downloads do take forever some times, sometimes they crash too so you have to re install all over again, well that's what happened to my friend anyway.
:)
It feels as if FPS games were slowly pushing the masses back into Hardcore FPS gaming. The likes of Quake, DOOM and Unreal. Double Jump while strafing and quickscoping. Strafe jump and point blank with a shotgun. People complaining about double jumping and strafing clearly aren't HCore

This is the best CoD since Call of Duty 3. The fact you can strafe and double jump like in Unreal Tournament makes this one of the fastest and hardest games I played. And the complete annihilation of camping makes this very very competitive. And it amazes me how people can get through an entire game with 1 death and 40 kills. Especially when you gotta lookup and look around as fast as you're jumping around and probably have your sensitivity 15 and over.

I play a lot of CTF because it's hardcore and feels straight up like UT. Team Deathmatch is a flank fest for me. I can hardly get 2 kills before I get shot from the side or behind.
Search And Destroy is just nuts, so much pressure when you got to clutch the game.

Butler153: I can see how the MORS is the best sniper if you were to be a trickshotter/feeder, but for the competitive scene it seems the Atlas is the best for sniping. Highest damage and very accurate. Everyone was using the MORS day 1 and 2 but you just get so many hitmarkers it's unbearable for competitive.

Also yes, I agree this is going to end up being one of the best CoD's ever made. The skill gap in other games, Ghosts, for example, was so mind-blowingly low that practically anyone that was half decent could beat pro players on any given day. It's like it's the exact opposite for this game. The strafing and exo suits, combined with no dead silence adds a whole different area of gunskill that has never been prevalent in Call of Duty before.
