You're telling me that you can't find one evidence of one woman out 200 million who is being oppressed?
Surely out of 200 million there would be atleast one who has the same opinion as yours, I simply ask you to prove it.
I still think it's absurd to frame 'having to ask for permission to get a job or leave the house' as 'lack of free will'...
The Bible and Quran do not work in the same way.
Islam is not revisionist or expansionary in the same way that Christianity is. They don't revise their religion to fit the morals of the time. I'm sure you can appreciate the absurdities of modern Christianity (aka everything but Baptist).
Again we have a problem of magnitude. An exceedingly small number of people complain and I'm supposed to interpret that as "a big movement"?
What's more they refer to them as feminists, which essentially means that westernized muslims are unhappy that their culture isn't western enough...
Seems kind of like she is poking the fire, referencing work from exiled intellectuals...
Is this one a goat or a camel? I can't tell.
You realize many Arab nations make their money selling dead dinosaurs right? And they use that money to build cutting edge towers, islands, cities, self driving cars, etc.

The concept he conveyed was the same.
"It's okay, those women who are forced to ask permission to leave the house/cannot drive/must wear heavy, modest clothing are happy! they aren't oppressed!
Although shariah is oppressive it is not nearly as widespread as suggested by ele, it is prevalent in middle eastern LEDCs almost exclusively.
Meanwhile there are far more oppressive things not linked to the muslim religion, do I need mention the world wars?
