cool stuff dude, i wondered if you'd ever come back to videomaking since your recent activity here. i got kind of involved with editing somewhat during early 2014, but haven't done much myself mostly due to lack of enthusiasm or college, etc.
anywaaaay, i really liked the first parts right after the opening sequence (which i actually thought could have been shortened. maybe speeding it up, or something). i haven't laughed at a toribash edit in a while (if ever) and the sync with the humping was actually really good. didn't mind the shaders too much. they weren't noticeable, really, but i think that using mbl/rsmb could definitely give your videos more life with all these new tools for editors these days. i can help you out if you use sony vegas. anyway, camera shake at :47 showed black bars on the sides, disable resample or whatever it is to fix that, it will look a whole lot nicer. the flow was really sick up until that part, too. i really liked the frame-freeze at :57 or so when it transitioned shaders and showed the next replay, nice touch. i think that generally after 1:30 or so it started getting a bit lazy. some sync points were definitely off, the camera was getting repetitive in some areas. the skateboarding at 1:55 was a really good touch, considering that this part of the song is so fucking boring i have no idea how you even managed to survive through it while editing. the slow-mo worked well, too (what do you use by the way, twixtor, or another program?). so after the slow part, it seemed like similar to the rest of the video, some cool sparring replays, etc. the ending was pretty funny too
fucking mathias
okay now, regarding the whole "old school" editing stuff that everyone is freaking out about, i think that there has been a phase very recently (started happening because of call of duty) where editing and overediting has become extremely popular, and it hit toribash when slycooper and tyzi started doing stuff with rsmb, mbl, twixtor, etc in late 2012 (if that) or 2013. my ideology is that video making in the past was generally focused on showcasing replays, not showcasing your editing skills. there weren't as many plug-ins back when moop was making videos, and i'm surprised how well he managed to pull it off back in the old days. i think that he is still focused on showcasing replays, but this video definitely feels like something new. everyone commenting "nice man!!!! looks old school as heck!!!" should probably stop posting on this thread because you aren't doing anything but annoying the newschool editors. regardless, he's still using similar techniques and styles as he did back in the old days, and i have nothing against him for doing that. i can understand that he hasn't polished every frame because this edit is nearly 4 minutes long, and i have watched or 2 or 3 times through and through because it isn't boring. this is also ignoring the fact that he is super rusty and hasn't been around editing or the editing scene for ~6 years.
nice edit, keep doing u moop

Fair enough, all your comments have been taken on board.
I really am serious about your tone though, don't make a bad name for yourself, it's really hard to undo later. You've got a lot of legitimate opinions, you don't need to phrase stuff like that to get people to listen : )
Thanks for all the comments everyone!
