We ought to put all our art/ingame projects down on the table and rank them from 'what we can do now' to 'what we're capable of later'. We've got a lot of stuff planned - what should our first step to tackling all of it be?

I remember from my last convo about this in IRC, me and Insane figured that the market bot should be our highest priority. That would earn us the TC needed to support regular events. Now, we've sort of side-stepped the TC issue by coming up with texture + item set prizes to use for some events - but getting the TC income stream flowing is still a big priority of ours, I reckon'. Thoughts?
I have a full 512 just waiting for it ;). On another hand, if you will take this texture project now you may know that its time consuming and can disturb other stuffs, as Ele said.

What do you guys think?

That is a good way to recruit talented members when it comes to ingame related stuff. However, there are some things I gently disagree. First, I think that giving a coordinator status is too much, I think we must give a spot as a trial instead. If he pass through the trial process we may think on giving war squad position (trial period to avoid a similar situation we had with swaves) , since we may don't know much about the player as well about his forum habilities.
Second, the guy has to be in no clan and want to join us, which I think that is a bit unlike to happen, I mean the winner/another good player is in no clan. Not to mention the guy should be at least clean, decent etc. If we can get people in those conditions, then the ideia is great. By the way, its a bit similar to ingame recruitment rooms, which I think that can work as well; if we don't want to do the tournament, thats more direct to the point.

You're right. It would be difficult to find entrants that meet our standards. The same thing could be accomplished with a recruitment server. The only difference is that people would be looking to join with us because they want to join with us, rather than because they want to win the tourney.

So, over the next few days, let's all make and sit in a recruitment server. We'll probably focus on grabbing aikido people (since that's the most popular war mod) and we'll also make sure we aren't recruiting anyone troublesome - we'll run background checks and such (if you don't have search capabilities and can't check someone you think would be good, PM me or any other member with VIP/Toriprime and we'll check them for you).

We need another 5 members, at least. Right now, we're not focusing on grabbing forum maestros like ourselves, we're looking to get a perfect war commander and war squad together. Do you guys know any smart, ingame wreckers that are forum active as well? The war commander is an important position we'll need to fill nicely.
I agree with the idea to recruit a war commander, but the commander needs to be a reliable person. He needs to have good traits and a form of leadership. Also, winning a tourney doesn't make you a good player, so spectate everyone and find out.

I think that's about it for that. Just don't pick anyone that's not up to par.

Yes, make lists from tourneys hosted of people who can meet our standards, etc. I hope all goes well. Good luck mate

Just came back from adjudicating my first school debates. The 3rd affirmative speaker of the first debate went AWOL, so the school picked some other random kid to take the missing kid's place. They only just won the debate. I had it scored a draw but gave it to the first team because they had the substance over style, while the other team had style over substance.

The 2nd debate was close too. The negative teams 3rd speaker was super presentable and the star, so she won it for them. She lost her shit, all crazy happy, when I told her she'd won it for them.

The debate question was: "Should the Melbourne Cup be banned?". The teams used arguments like 'It's a rich cultural tradition' vs 'Yeah, but it's a tradition built on animal brutality' and "It gets us so much money and tourism and attention" vs " Yeah, but it's not the sort of image that we want to be sending people, and everyone gets time off work to watch it so that hampers economic productivity".

These kids were 12-13 years old and making better arguments and rebuttals than half of the Toribash Discussion board people.
Woah, christ, that would've been scary. Probably would've jumped up and shat my pants if that happened next to me.

Should have cut yourself a little bit and say it hurt you and you have to go home.
Largeness is impressive. We are a group of impressive men ;)

tl;dr means 'too long, didn't read' - or it could also mean 'the ludicrous dead rhinos'.

Nice to hear it. I wish I could help you, but I think I am not able to do these kind of stuff yet. I just started learning computer programming recently. However, if you want to give me some lines of code that you think I can help, feel free to do so. By the way, if you guys could change my clan rank to 'Labyrinth Architect' instead of clan coder, it would be cool, since I am not that coder.

Yeah, the plan for that is to sit in a few recruitment servers ingame - setting it up in aikido/ABD. I'm gonna be ingame a lot this weekend, but it'd help if others ran them as well.
