works even better in the context of the story of the game. somehow manages to be stressful and elegant at the same time (atleast to me). excellent game and soundtrack, would recommend to everyone
if i were to pick a track that was not originally composed for the game, then anything from the Wipeout games. especially Wipeout 2097. it has stuff like FSOL - We Have Explosive, FSOL - Landmass, Fluke - Atom Bomb, The Prodigy - Firestarter (speaking of that has anyone heard the new Prodigy album? thoughts?)

I looked a little into shinedown and I found that they weren't bad at all. not quite sure what to recommend to you since your taste is heavier than mine, but, you can check out red hot chilli peppers or funeral suits if you hadn't looked into them.
