Unexpectedly Closing
For the past couple of weeks, my client has just unexpectedly close, it doesn't stop responding it just closes itself, there's no particular pattern to how long it will take from opening the client.

My FPS is fine (around 52 usually) there are no connectivity problems as I can easily connect to all rooms and memory usage is normal.

Im using v4.92. (through steam)

I have a 2.5Ghz quadcore processor and a radeon graphics card, both of which can cope with higher graphics and higher moemory games, I have 6GB of RAM

Any ideas are welcome, thanks

As suddenly as it appeared, it disappeared.
For me restarting Toribash/PC made it better.
For me I had a slight pattern, it was when someone loaded a sparring/parkour mod or when I tried to chat, sometimes it was 100% random.

For me its completely random, sometimes its even when im tabbed out of the client

I was unable to find the crash.txt file - there are however a lot of mdmp files with the word crash in them, might not be relevant but might as well mention them

the stderr.txt file was empty

I have tried reinstalling it.

When I verified the integrity of game cache, it said 1 file failed to validate and will be reacquired. This may be one of the files Jtank mentioned(?) but im not sure. I will post again if it appears to have worked and close the thread
It appears to have worked, I will leave this thread open because I cant be sure yet, but I will close it if I feel sure

EDIT: Nope it happened again

Theres no pattern to how long it takes so I didn't try, but I will leave it in SP now and see if it does within a reasonable amount of time, it may be worth noting it is not recorded as a crash but treated as if I'd clicked on the red X. But I dont know if this is important.

In the meantime, as a workaround you could try using a different version of tb, here's link with list that has 4.8 or 4.82, you can probably google for news thread with 4.9, 4.91, 4.92
http://forum.toribash.com/showthread.php?t=310132

I still have 4.82 downloaded from before I switched to steam, so I'll use that for now, I've never had the problem with that in the past.

EDIT: Yes it did close itself while on freeplay doing nothing
-----
Using 4.82 fixed the problem of randomly closing, unfortunately I now have this problem:

http://forum.toribash.com/showthread.php?t=497304

and all the previous suggestions haven't worked

Yeah its as if I hit the red X, except that I didnt

I first had it with 4.92, but I had it when I downloaded both 4.93 and 4.94

edit: and 4.95
