hmm, pusga, from the music that you enjoy (e.g edm, dubstep, that stuff) is there songs that are quite emotional/sad, since i am curious to see how someone would do that with such upbeat sounds since dubstep/etc seems to only verge on a dramatic sound, but, not sad. although my knowledge of those genres is very low and i don't pay attention to them much if i can help it.

@melqart, the animation/the video as a whole was pretty good, but the lyrics were pretty subpar and vocals eh.

also, this

really great build up

im sure there is but i wouldnt be able to point in the right direction. most of the ones i know are predominantly nostalgic/melancholic/dramatic, not really sad. i wouldnt consider dubstep or dnb very upbeat genres anyway, but even within the happy ones i usually dont come across stuff like that.

the closest i would find to "sad" upbeat edm would be a small portion of happy hardcore but who the fuck listens to that
oh yeah

hm im actually not that big of a fan of s3rls stuff, but i like a lot of guys from australia (lumin8, jts and weaver being the ones i can recall atm)

vagabond is my shit though
oh yeah
@vitta, it sounds pretty generic imo, but, I like how it progresses
@krisp, first song was pretty funky, but, the electronic sounds kind of ruined most of it.
didn't really like any of the sounds used, and, yes, it is pretty weird.

Post a live performance that you like and why the performance is so good/unique in your opinion!

emily haines was so crazy back in the early 2000's and this video is proof!
i like the rawness of it, even though emily sounded like a dinosaur at 2:15 and vevo censored the word 'tits', there's lots of energy and fun. maybe some drugs, but, still fun.

i would definitely recommend you listen to their first album (OWUWAYN) and Grow up and blow away, maybe fantasies as well, but, it's a little more poppish. the 2 most recent albums from metric really disappointed me though, which is a shame, but, hey, they had a good few years.

if you are wondering why the lead singer of metric in these vids looks pretty stoned

i had to post another of these, since this sounds even better than the dead disco performance
