Well if you like MOBAs then yeah you'd love them. I'm more of an MMORPG person myself.
If you like games with really good story's but bad game play go for dota
By the way, I'd just like to let everyone know that I'll be inactive from around the 8th to perhaps the 12th. I might be able to check in a few times, but I'm heading back to Canada on the 10th and I have studying to do before that and exams to take directly following that.
You MUST play to LoL with someone. If you begin alone :
1. You will not understand why all your mates are insulting you because you're just going bot lane with alistar or some shit like that-> you will be disgusted by the community and the game
2. You may find the game boring
So you need someone to explain you all the non-official rules to you (there is a looooot) and to have fun with.

It's not that it's not fun, It's just because the tuto doesn't explain anything exept how to control your hero. There are kinds of hero with different roles in your team. Tank goes top, magical damage goes middle, physical damage and support go bottom and the jungler help who need it.
We only do it at the beginning but players do it because of two reasons :
1. the most important one, the development. You need to kill enemy minion in order to win gold. And in team fight you don't have time to farm
2. To oppose each player of each team
But it's fun for people who like winning and taking games seriously. Playing LoL is fun in the same way it's fun playing in a sport tournament. You have fun but you're playing seriously. That's why you love it or you hate it ;)
