Yeah they are extremely competitive and people will hate one if you make one mistake, I only really played bots on League and Dota 2, playing against players was never worth it.

playing against players is more fun. also if somebody is trashtalking, you can just mute them. also doesn't this kinda happens in cs:go or am i mistaken, i've never played or seen the game, just heard of it.
