But I have only watched 4 new series pilot episodes so far, dropped 2 or 3 already because they weren't my thing. 17 more to watch xD

Yea I watched Gate and instantly became a fanboy, as long as they handle the romance/harem part of it right then I think it will become a masterpiece. Unless it turns shit halfway through, but I'm really hoping that doesn't happen.

I really only have one worry about it. They are focusing it on a ground defense force, but they seem to be actively trying to stay away from any showings of death or gore as you saw in the first ep.



I'm a bit worried about this passive approach to a set up that will probably involve a lot of violence. But over all I"m really happy with the general personality that they gave the main character and if the plot is done right I think it should be a really good watch. Though they should probably just soften up on their stubbornness and show a bit of the "gore" and just do it in a fashion like other anime have; like Naruto with how they do bodily harm and stuff in a way that isn't brutal to watch.

I tried watching Steinsgate yesterday. It was hard to watch.
