@arctic accepted as fuck, we can moan and groan about our favorite arctic monkeys songs together and wash in what is the alex turner/matt helders
Anywho me and Galaxy created and IRC channel for MLO called #mlo if you guys just want to sit and chat now and then. And here's probably one of my new favorite songs, really unknown band but pretty awesome song.
hey guys, I have been pretty inactive due to being away in scotland with no internet, however now finding Internet, in proud to see that you guys have kept posting! I'm surprised to see Galaxy back, but am hoping for good things, since I recognise the lack of fun and new interesting things to do in this org. I'll try and hop on irc, no promises I can however atm. Welcome the new guys (heyyyy arctic) and thanks for joining the alliance !

I think I'll take this post to explain my reasonings behind why I love and hate certain songs and possibly start a discussion. I don't have the widest taste of music and neither do I have the thinnest. These statements by me are subject to opinion. I will also be thinking of silento's watch me whip this whole time
So I have 3 main reasons why I hate pop dance, and just pop in general.
1. Repeated and meaningless lyrics
2. No actual skill involved in making said music
3. Mediocre recordings turned good by technology
At a young age, it's pretty unheard of to hear of a teenager around my area to not like this kind of music, but I understand why it's likeable. The lyrics are supposed to be meaningless because it's a dance song. You dance to it, not listen to it on your couch while playing a game or something. The beat was catchy and made on a computer to make it popular and easy to whip up.
But I feel music (and music in general) is losing its human element. You have autotune, timeline drums, samples and all that (unless the samples are used in accapella). I enjoy music that is mostly based around the person's skill because I know for a fact they took time writing their guitar solo, their lyrics, etc etc. this is also why I listen to a lot of metal, particularly progressive metal. Hearing the vocal tone change and knowing they didn't use autotune blows my mind.
I'm gonna end it with this pretty awesome song that isn't that popular
If it doesn't work, ill go on my computer and do it there.
