Ranking changes
I'm updating our ranking system. Rankings will reset every month and only some servers will have ranking enabled on them.
Whats new from today:
- Only selected servers will be ranked. "This is a ranked server")
- Before ranked matches you'll get a message. "This is a ranked match (#rank vs #rank)"
- I've enabled ranking on the tourney1-8 servers. Admins can put ranking on any server they please.
Whats coming:
- On the 1st of August I'll clear the current rankings. Yes, all rankings will reset.
On the last of the month will be able to have special events for the best players of that month.
This is still in development so if you have any suggestions feel free to post in this thread.

I'm going to still remind you that the top 10 is much more representative than it used to be with the old ranking where the top 10 players were jousting/twin-sword players...
I'm speculating the reason why the top players aren't still up there yet is that they've been too inactive at the start of this month which happens. Hampa mentioned Zalf's elo pretty much flattening out, so it's time for these top players to come and snatch that spot.
Also, as I'm seeing it, changes are happening everyday..so there's always room for change. Something similar to elo restricted servers surfaced with the new tourney. (tourney13)
The way I see it is that Hampa is handling all these changes..while eventually I see the GM team kicking in and putting in a list of competitive mods which can only be played!

is there any plan to add more ranking restricted servers like tourney13?
say maybe add another one for 1-250 now ..then another from 1-125 after another 10 days...then another 1-60 after 10 days.
it doesn't even have to be a tourney! just a ranked server with the mod rotation.
ofc mod rotation list needs to be worked out with Gms eventually, but it's a really good idea imo

I dont want to be rude but jousting is not a mod that should even be ranked. Its a funmod. There should be pretty much no reason have jousting rankings.
