Ranking Rewards
Ranks where reset today and here are some updates.
Ranking rewards:
#1 globally ranked player at 23.30 CET will receive 2000 TC * day of the month.
Example:
5th of August the reward is 10,000 TC (2,000 TC * 5).
31 of August the reward is 62,000 TC (2,000 TC * 31).
Total amount of TC payed out in August will be 992,000.
Tournament1 to Tournament15 are ranked servers with various mods.
Ranked Black belt servers:
/join ranked2 - Judofrac
/join ranked3 - Lenshu3ng
/join ranked4 - ABD
/join ranked5 - ErthTK
/join ranked6 - Greykido
The GMs and admins will and can experiment with the server setup during the month.
A handy ingame command that list the current top ranked players and their ELO:
/ranking global

jack9918 and Zalf have both been on top for the first 4 days.
Zalf has played 116 games as #1
jack9918 has played 141 games as #1
We are keeping track for Elo ranges for future restrictions.

Last time yesterday greykido, so yeah. But anyways, I'd like to hear from Hampa does he really think these rankings work?
There are few very active people wanting to push the matchmaking system. Its just impossible to get anything done without any higher up feedback.

The ranking system is good in my opinion (not because I'm rank) , All you do is need to win and not die as much. Also, people are not trying that much besides coyote0500.

Also to be at first, sure you have to be active but you also have to win the matches that you are playing. Zalf may be preying on low belts but once the elo restricted servers are in effect and/or matchmaking that will be solved.

I'm proud of your 10 year old depiction of the ranking system.
People that are the most active and can win more matches than other players deserve to be in the #1 position. Maybe they aren't the best, but their recent game history should reflect that they are. Zalf is attacked because he is in a desirable position, people feel as if he shouldn't be there. The ranking system is still working out the kinks. All in all, we are still in the experimental stage of this evolution.
Its called a rank system for a reason not an activity challenge. Every single 5th dan plus is able to get to rank 1 easily. Every black belt could probably get rank 1 fairly easily, its just a matter of time.
The rank system means literately nothing and it seems that %90+ of the community realizes this and thus does not try to gain a good rank.
If there was a real rank system then people might actually try.
This ranking system isn't even an "experiment" its just hampa being lazy and blind as usual. Its blatant that this system wouldn't work from the second it was launched and it blows my mind that hampa can't see or understand this.
