Anyways i think many of us have been practicing hip throws for quite some time and its about time we get a tutorial up on the knowledge base.
I know iver you have your uchi mata but i was think just a simple generic hip throw from clap is needed.
That way people who dont do throws can study them and then start throwing against uke and eventually use them in multiplayer.

Okay I'm convinced it's possible but looks difficult. I'll definitely try to practice this and if it proves practical i will add it to my arsenal.

But back to the other matter do you think we could collaborate and write a tutorial for a generic hip throw? Being that you have much more real judo experience than me i would imagine you could do a better job. But i know there's not always time for that so i was thinking we could work together. Like I'll make the graphics and you write the turn by turn directions.

I want this to be something very easy to follow so even new initiates with only basic skills can start practicing this move. What do you think?

Luck? With our replay threads combined we probably have 100+ hip throw replays. I have been hitting these things like tee-ball.

Also here's some footsweeps i was getting last night. None of them kouchi, i think.

Hip throws are something I struggle with, and I know Timmy does as well. The problem is the setup for me - a standard hip throw is done facing away from your opponent with you hand on their shoulder/arm and their belt. When doing a hip throw in toribash 9 times out of 10 you'll be holding hands with the other tori. It makes them very easy and not as effective as many other throws.

Although if you sweep with your leg and then throw them over the same hip and use the leg as a lever it works nicely - though this is extremely aggressive.

I have a problem with keeping my opponent close to me. Most hipthrows work best if you are very close to your opponent. But the hipthrow is still achievable when you are that close but it will be easily countered. I recentently solved the problem I had with rotation so thats a good thing.

Also getting the right angle is sometimes hard for me so I hope you guys could help me with that.

Ok, for the next few weeks ingame tests are going to be mandatory. These can be administered by leaders and senior members (ex:raiken,redpanda,aquita etc)

I've seen these "things". TA has always only accepted good players, look at the old application threads. The old leaders were chosen by skill alone, this is what we are. You are hurt because you were not accepted, nothing more.

Not doing your research on an org before application is honestly quite embarrassing. We get people to include replays because we look for skill. This is not an elitist attitude. Post here again and I will report your posts. You are not welcome here. Welcome to the blacklist.
