I'm not an artist, so I can't tell you if anythings wrong or what it technically needs, but I think it's interesting, it looks like the start of a regal knight.
Are you planning to make the wings on the head larger and more noticeable? Because I think you should. The idea is pretty fresh and original - haven't seen a valkyrie head around. Hope you make it a combat/warrior-ish valkyrie, with the knight helmet and all
Some reference picture: *snip*
Love how clean it is so far but the sides kind of bother me. They look like a flimsy piece of metal jutting outwards. Maybe you could make the helmet as a whole? Anyway, just my thoughts, good luck :U
the circles on the side of the head seem out of place and don't fit the head style at all
i'd suggest replacing it with more helmet or something
lovely line work and color scheme but i think your red is a little too bright and smooth compared to the rest of the helmet parts
hope to see it completed soon
Ah a Valkyrie, I thought it had more of a roman general helmet look going on.
Will this be turned into a full set? It could turn out to be very interesting with a valkryie look going on.
WIP 2
Its good to see some of the old artist are returning
Pretty neat head, what style would you use ? Cartoonish or realistic ?
havent seen anythign from you in years, good to see you back, and to see an improvement.
keep it simple and dont halfass it.
get a face that looks right, but dont overcomplicate it. the hair and eyes will be the most important bit.
the side of the helmet is magnificent, but i do worry that the bottom of the visor limits your options for the face.
i think it would almost be better to lower the visor and hide the face.
the helmet is obviously the focus.
you would have to cut it apart and rework the entire front section though.
but this way the face isnt the focus, all youd see is the eyes and hair, which are the important bits.
crappy reference but gets the point across:
*snip sexy hat*
editing it wouldnt be THAT much effort though. cutting it in half, lowering it to be centred vertically on the sides leaves you with only redrawing the centre bit.
the top of the visor has some nice lines to work with.
at which point the face is easy, if you leave the top piece of the visor to cover most of the nose, youd only have to deal with the bridge of the nose instead of the whole nose and mouth. then you have ample options for the eyes.
