Not sure why we should care this much to be honest, no one cared about the middle east and their tragedies, Instead of being picky on who to give attention to and give attention to everything in general.

We've always known where ISIS is, you can find maps of ISIS on google, many countries are in direct "border conflict" with ISIS, defending cities, losing some and taking some back. And regular airstrikes were already directed there.

What we don't know tho, are where/who are the ISIS members who got into EU countries.

Apparently, France has bombed a few areas associated with ISIS.

But besides that, since when did saying "I hate islam (or any religion)" make you a racist?

Religion = Ideology,
Ideology =/= race, gender, sexuality etcetc.


As said before, I cant stand Islam (or pretty much any religion for that matter), but if you were to call me a racist for that, Id probably tell you to sod off.
If you cant openly hate an ideology, things will go wrong, fast. People are afraid to make fun of islam for two reasons; They might be labeled as racists or get hurt from extremists.
And if you cant oppose an idea or an ideology publicly, our whole foundation for out society crumbles.

You dont get to choose who represents islam or any religion for that matter.
For me the KKK and westboro babtist church represents christianity just as much as any other everyday christian.
Just because you are a muslim and are not a violent bigot, doesnt mean you get to dictate what Islam is.


The reason I hate Islam are the acts of violence,the treatment of Women, discrimination and violence against "infidels" and every other horrible thing that quran (indirectly or directly) endorses.
Dont come telling me that Islam isnt violent, bigoted or inherently flawed. Dont come telling me I misunderstand Islam because you dont read the quran in the same way as fundamentalists do. Dont come telling me people who kill in the name of their god dont represent that god.

What you think of god is irrelevant in this discussion, what actions you are doing because of your religion is what matters.
If you just believe in god ,I dont think you are very smart, but I have no reason to really hate you. That would make me the asshole in that situation.

No, Pig has a valid point. He's talking about their international standing. France is a bigger world player. That's what he means. Though I do think Syria is pretty important currently, seeing as how focal the situation is right now and how it could possibly escalate into something much bigger.

Well in terms of global impact yes. But when people are saying things like "Why do you care so much about France" They usually dont talk about global impact, but the value of lives and the attention given by media regarding victims.

Its true that attacks on western countries create bigger effects on the global scale, thus making those countries more "important" but im quite sure that is not what people are usually referring to in this discussion.

Why we can't agree with one thing: WHY WE CAN'T CLOSE OUR BORDERS? It is so simple and wouldn't hurt anyone at all. More than 130 people died and more than 100 are really injured nearly going to die because of this. Why we let people from other contrys or continents to enter in our country (in this case i mean France--->Paris) with fucking guns? Makes no sense at all.

I understand why everyone losses there mind when the west gets bombed, but it is so wrong that western humanity is brainwashed into reacting this way. People seem to forget that things 100x worse than this happen every day, and have been for the last 20+ years.

130 people dying compared to:

100s that die in Syria every day from war, 1000s of innocent die from American and EU bombs.

21,000 die from starvation every day, when there is enough food for all.

And who knows how many innocent have died since France retaliated by bombing Syria. Well we will probably never know as the media refuse to publish this information.
