That instrument sounds absolutely awesome, i like the way it compliments the tone of the piano, its like a voice singing almost. really really neat!

I'll share some Serj Tankian stuff here if you guys don't mine :P I recently found this when he collaborated with Arto

i always have mixed feelings when you post stuff like this. definitely interesting but i feel like the first 6 or so minutes try to engage me but since im not good at paying attention for too long i get a bit disappointed when i hear that its mostly lowercase and meditative. i think that if it didnt engage me in the first place i would have enjoyed it more. i am a fan of drone/minimalistic stuff and it usually works like that for me.
the part where it picks up the pace a bit is really enjoyable though, and after that the last part worked better as lowercase for me than it did in the beggining i think
(i am not sure how to describe the first and last parts, i used lowercase but im just trying to say something that is not pacey i guess)

oh yeah

Accepted.

as a person that went from listening to pop > rock > metal > edm > hardstyle > rock > metal > trance > indie rock/pop > alternative rock/pop > rap/hip hop > psychedelic trance

i think i said meditative because of what the music evoked on me rather than what it sounded like. its intense at times and progressive as you say, but it only caught my attention when it got to whatever the brass instrument was, until then i was pretty much just listening to it passively. the percussion seemed to complement what was already there instead of giving it a more defined (for lack of a better word) rhythm or changing how i interpreted it (not that it has to do those things, but those are things that generally get my attention).

again, i am not good at paying attention so it also might have to do with that generally i dont enjoy when i have to pay attention to a song but then it also includes parts where i dont really have to. it messes with me, so i would rather have wholly lowercase or wholly engaging songs, or a sort of hybrid where both types are incorporated simultaneously that i only come across rarely. just not both at different times
oh yeah
We'll , I really do so like cage the elephant. It's just the least on what I listen too , I used to listen to it time to time , and that am I wrong song , pretty good so.

The first 3 songs from Cage The Elephant's 3rd album, Melophobia, are all really enjoyable. Of them, I like this one the most;
cage the elephant feels like a modern mix of older bands like talking heads or pixies, they aren't for everyone, but, they do have a couple of gems.
pusga recently introduced me to the microphones, a really hidden band that I never have seen a trace of anywhere, but, damn they have some nice stuff.
[19:59] <Lazors> man it's a good thing people don't see what i write here
I like that song there Lazors. I like the classic rock feel to it, it reminds me of journey or something of the like, with a modern touch to it.
