"Tell us about your Toribash experience."
Toribash is something special to me. I found it in my late teens. I was young brave and in the US army. I liked fighting games and physics. A Google search of both changed my life. I played for a year with no internet. I fell in love with each and every piece. It was the thing that I thought when I was in the field or on duty. Toribash was the light of my life at the time.
I found every bit of it inspireing. Learning that it was made, almost solely by hampa, I decided to that I wanted to make something as profound as Toribash. I began working with Blender, Endorphine and other animation programs. I continue my journey even today. I can rig, skin, animate and and even program interactiviy into Blender and various other studios.
I do hesitate to say that I am a game developer of any kind, but i was hired to make a phone app. It's a study aid for learning The Periodic Table of Elements. I would call it a game, but not a game like Mario Bros.. However I do use my skills for Toribash. I, in the past, have enjoyed making mods. I also make all my own skins as well as skins for others.
I have been inactive in the community for years. I used to hang out with RAWR, but they never took me because of my military schedual. When I exited the military I tried to connect with them but they had stopped playing. That made me sad so I just went back to playing by myself. It's been that way for years. Every now and again I would stop by and check in, play a few matches online, not talk to anyone and go back to playing with myself.
So what makes this moment different. WAPOW caught my attention. I figured I would give it a shot and apply. I asked to join and I was told to wait. So I waited. Almost immediately Simon PMed me and asked me to join his clan, Dragon. I remembered him so I figured I would kill time with them. They were good for that. It was a nice place to re-activate myself in the community. I have been very active and expect to be as long as I have some place to be.
I do run DigiRev.Net website and teamspeak, although my Skype is
Onimarauder. It is as much a home to me as anywhere else. It takes so much of me I have no where to just play. I would rather join a team that already exsist. Even if I started my own clan I would feel just as alienated, seeing as I would have to recruit entirely from Toribash regaurdless.
I am looking for a group of highly skilled peers. People who desire to be a little better than they were yesterday. I wish to share my love of this game with them and work togeather to make it a great time for everyone. I feel like these goals align with that of WAPOW. That is why I want to join...
