For the banners? I added that for a glossy feel I guess, but for the logo I can make the text darker

Oh I think I see what you mean, yea that line between the text is a bit ehh in the other banners, but for the Logo one you did its not that bad.

I'm a bit late to the party, but I'll still give my opinion if that's ok... I really like the spec logo, I don't really think it could be any better. On the other hand I don't really like the way the flames are around the other words such as "bank" and "recruitment". I want them to give off a more "spec" feel, but I don't really know what a spec feel is seeing as it's not really a feeling. I always thought spec could have to do with a door creaking open and light starting to slip out of it. Inviting you to witness or spectate what's out there. But this is kind of me just rambling and seeing as I know nothing about art I don't really expect any of this to be done. I also don't really like the "In spec we Trust". I would prefer something like "Witnessing all of Life's Secrets" or "The teller of Tales." Maybe even "Watching the World."

Instead of being so linear with cutting it down the middle, could you try to do that some other way? I agree, it can be a little distracting. I'd much appreciate it if you could find a more unobtrusive way to add a little bit of depth of colour and the gloss feel you were going for.

About the flames around the banners: I actually really like the idea and it looks really nice. The only problem for me is that all the flames are... well, the same. Even for a much smaller word, the flame is the same. I don't think it'd hurt to tweak with that a little bit and try to create a couple different general designes for the flames. (Remember, asymmetry, like dissonance in music, can be your friend if you treat it right.)

I hear what you're saying Gabe, and while I do admit the whole door thing sounds good, I don't think it would fit the theme of either banners at this point. As for the bits around everything else I'm personally fine with them, there is nothing else I can think of being better, so I'm not going to complain about whats good.

Though the text in the other banners needs to be fixed, its lither than the logo test so I would like to see all the other banners darkened to be like the logo. As for the line through the text in the other banners I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like they are just there because the text is too dark, though you might have done something else. Darken the text on the others and lets see where that takes us.

Edit: I agree with Pouffywall on the asymmetrical thing and adding differences in each flame, but as for that line in the middle I still say just darken the text first and lets see if that makes it more like the Logo, The logo is perfect, get the text of everything else like the logo text.
Also as for the differences in the flames, even if they are small it will be fine, they don't have to be vastly different.

Also, if the flames arent really "spectator" enough for you, we could alway try having Zwift try to give the flames less of a primal uncontrolled look and more of a cultured, elegant, contained feel? I'll see if I can find examples.

I actually really like your control over gradients and highlighting/shading/whatever you're doing with blending colours. It looks really smooth and I quite like it.

However...

As it is, what you're doing looks really foreboding. The really dark and imposing lettering adds to this a ton, but the toris' poses have a huge effect on this as well. Honestly, I've never seen this clan as a very frightening one c ; I'd much prefer a bit more of a fluid, gentler font and adjusting the colour scheme just a bit to match (although, I'm not sure if this needs to be done. As always, at your discretion).

What might bother me the most is how ready-and-rearing-to-go the toris look. We're spectators, you know? I'd like to see much more passive poses and such. I do like what you did with matching poses from banner to banner if they were talking about similar things. I'd keep that in further wips. Also, I'll bring up again that symmetry isn't always that great. I'd love to see a little bit of difference between the two toris on each banner.

I also noticed that the colors on the toris are super imposing as well. Is it possible to add a little bit more standard grey to your palate, as far as the toris go?

So...

Less imposing/terrifying font
Passive poses
Different poses for the two toris on each banner (not necessarily for all of them)
Change "In Spec We Trust" to "A World Yet to Be Seen"

It might do you good to bring something else to the table as far as creative flair. I love the idea of the toris and I think it could look absolutely fantastic, but I wonder if you could make even just the logo pop a little bit more with detail.
