By the way I've seen some people have their steam account linked to their account, but I have no idea how to do that. Do you have any idea of how to go about doing it?

O .O If you're asking me if you can drop out of the tournament and just get your one mystery prize then sure. I would rather you stayed in and give it your all to try and win though. Even if you drop out now you won't know what your prize will be or get it until after the tournament is over.

Just do the best you can to contact him and set up a date. If you two can't get together at all and you think its his fault then post your PMs between each other as images on the event thread and I will judge if it was your/his fault and wether I want to give you two an extension or disqualify someone. Either way as long as you're honestly trying to get together with him yourself then you'll be in the clear. Also you should make sure to give him your GMT in a PM and the times your usually on/available.
