Lol,

I dont kn ow why but I feel that the forums (not only this clan but the forums as a whole) are starting to get inactive, look at the orgs, which most are dead or dying, almost no one checks the mods section, maybe toribash's days are coming to an end. What keeps this game alive is the market, textures and events mostly, like ppl starts getting bored of this
sadly yes,its going inactive.
but toribash must not die,its basically the only game that im actually addicted, alot more to forums.
hope more new players come, and some oldies get back, this game is almost 10 years(or is already, because first version was in 2006).

This will be shot and off topic, I started a suggestion thread, if we get enough support this might help the community, please check it if you would like to help with that

It's all thoose damn braincell-killing games like WoW and LoL, CoD, and all other games with a small "o" in the middle of their names.

People don't want games that are hard to learn, they want mindless fps/moba-games.
In my opinion, prettyh much all moba games are either the same, or very similar variations of about 4 different original moba titels.

Almost all fps are the same... goes without saying really.

TB is innovative, dynamic, different. And you can do so much with so simple mechanics.
But still most people just say "DIZ IZ 2 HARD! GIMME THAT NEW COD GAIM; COD:MW:206849875900888786544! I'L KIL U NOOBZ!"

Also, i found that there is an unusual amount of left-handed people playing TB compared to other games.

Did you actually play WoW back in the old days before Cata?
Shit wasn't what I would call easy.

Now weather TB is hard in singleplayer can be discussed, but if you want to be able to make realistic replays, or even cool looking ones, you need alot of skill.

There are incredibly few players that are "mediocre" at TB. In an mmo like WoW you could still be mediocre, you could have a medium amount of skill and be placed at a medium spot in the "pecking order" (I know that WoW doesn't really use the same ranking system as TB, but the point is, you can be mediocre at WoW and other people will see that you are mediocre.
correct but people will judge you more about your equip rather than skill.
If you are mediocre at TB and make a replay, most people are going to say that you are in fact very far down the skill tree.

Also, this period "before Cata" was a few years ago, when TB wasn't even released on steam, and there were not as big of a trend towards theese FPS MOBA clones. Which FPS/Mobas are you talking bout here? Neither TB Nor WoW are^^

Also, i actually lied in the top of the post, i have in fact played WoW before cataclysm, given i was not very old at the time, but i did not found it very hard, but instead extremely outdrawn, and boring. That is because the first few level are easy while the endcontent is hard as hell.

TB gameplay is a very different monster compared WoW. It is not really hard to learn WoW mechanics, and how things in the WoW world works (if i am wrong on this point please correct me!) Well you got alot of spell combinations and strategies to learn to actually do shit right and you got to keep on track with new additions and informations on weapons etc.
In TB however, you can easily learn the controls, and mechanics, though it takes far longer to become a "Medium player" than it takes in WoW.

WoW might not be easy in that that you are competing with millions of other players, in TB you are competing agains maybe a few thousand, but it is still harder to learn for most people. The basics are harder to understand.

Something as simple as killing a few scrubs in WoW cannot be compared to wha apears to be the simple tast of taking ten steps in TB, there is a huge difference there.
You are comparing on the wrong scale here. Killing the first 10 or so wolves is to be compared to moving your first few joints rather than doing an actual intended movement
Alright, i have no idea if you got my point at all, since i can't write for shit really.
It's fine really.
Let me explain it again:

When i say "hard to learn" i mean "hard to learn"

Rock paper scissors is not hard to learn, yet there are world championships held in it.
it is hard to WIN most times in rock paper scissors, but not hard to learn.

TB is hard to learn, but not very hard in multiplayer (though not easy since there is a pretty substantial gap between 10th dan and white.)

WoW is EASIER to learn, but harder to win alot, though you could still win alot against fairly matched players. TB does not have as good of a matching system.

Jeeze, that was a long post, also i may be completely wrong, and if so please tell me how.

First of all I hit the edit button instead of the quote button :,D
Damn these new buttons.
Gonna write red into your quote

Well lots of arguments there. Weird that you didnt say anything about the huge gap bethween an experienced player and a new one. In toribash this gap might seem bigger than in other games, basically because of the joints and how they work and stuff like that.

However, this doesnt mean that it's that way, le tme esplain. For instance Dark Souls is a game know for its dificulty, maybe understanding the basics of the game is easier than understanding toribash basics but the gameplay itself can be as challenging (in a different way tho).
why do you hate the language barrier? isnt ur first language english?

Yeah the learning curve for toribash is amazingly "skippy" and "jumpy" getting to be good takes quite some time and dedication, after all its an strategy game, and this arent known for being easy.
Well there we have some good arguments, If I was more interested in the subject I would do some myself.

I was thinking that maybe we should start doing more active things in the clan. The other day I was hanging out with some guys from Latin who hosted their own tourney, maybe we could do something like that.

Also and other wave of kicking is coming soon, we have way too many inactive members :/ a few which have reasons to be inactive wont be kicked. We will need to recruit as many new members as possible as well

I will remove the threads rules for now
Sc1ence, u forgot about Groupsex Cool logo btw :P

So, new topic :

What's your top 3 sports?

For first place, I would pick volleyball. I am in this buisness for quite a long while (like 4 years). It's very good sport for me, cause I am tall mofo. At first I was just playing 4 fun, but after some time I thought ,,dayum dis is gr8 sport'' and started training harder and also playing for a team. Maybe this year I am going to apply for new team.

2nd place is skiing. I ski for not a long time (like 1 year) since I am not directly in mountains. (mountains are 500km from city I live in) But anyway I learned alot during this time. I am pretty much good at this, I ski on most of tracks (except black ones, which are hardest, but if I used whole track for turns I would pass it I guess). Anyway I have still alot to learn

3rd place is football. I play football just because. I didn't play it in any team or something, but anyway I like it. I also like watching football matches. Champions League is starting soon HYPE
