So I was just looking at my rank and had a random idea.
I know a lot of people miss being ranked in all the odd ball mods
that they used to enjoy spending time with along with their friends.
So I was thinking why not have two different ranking systems.

The current system is place would be the Public Rank and
then the Private Rank would be a continuous rank that doesn't
reset each month and can be influenced by matches in private
servers created by users. This way friends can go back to fighting
over that number one spot in god knows what mod and the people
fighting for the TC of the rewards can keep doing their thing as well
without being effected at all.

This is simply just a humble idea aimed at giving friends back their
sense of competition in private rooms, there really wouldn't be any
backlash from this since no rewards will be offered for the Private Rank.

Go ahead and give me your opinions on the idea.
It may seem pointless to some, but its also harmless to all.

I personally miss being ranked 5th in beg_ballgore.tbm
I fought against Hentai a lot to get that rank and I was proud of it.
Felt kinda crushed when the ranks were cleared.

I don't really see how this could have any negative effects at all,
but if anyone has any concerns I would be more than happy to hear them.

I know what you mean, with the new system its easy to get a high rank if you
catch it as the right time. I've even held rank 1 for a few hours before since
I caught the ranks right when they reset. Its just not as fun as grinding over
a longer period of time to crawl you way up.

I would say that they would switch out. When you're in a public room it would
display your public rank and when you're in a private room it would display
your private rank. Or if you don't like that then we could have it set to only
display your public rank in-game by your Top Right/Left name while playing and
in chat the mod rank that gets updated after each match would be your private
rank.

Something along those lines could work.
