how do i make the UI (if that's what you call it) smaller?
i tried changing resolution and it doesn't work.

Afraid you can't, it stays pretty much the same size no matter the resolution. Best you can do is make the chat & queue look smaller by kicking up the game's resolution (which can cause mouse coordinate issues above 720)

Aside from that you'd have to disable HUD elements if they're getting in the way.

not the menu but the points, names, frames etc.
