why was the change made from game master to event squad?
at first i was told by multiple es members that event squad existed purely to make events and that we were "safe from being banned by them" (something along those lines)
howeeever, they now appear to be doing the exact thing the gm's did, with much of the ban list being taken up by es

good you seem to know a lot about the position
afaik the event squad focuses way more on general events and forum events than GMs. they also have a bigger workload because of this. If any ES could elaborate or correct me that would be great.

The switch was a formal acknowledgement that the team was becoming more event oriented
We still handle minor ingame policing (MC in tourneys, slurs if we receive reports while we're ingame, stuff of that nature), but we don't touch general reports at all. Generally, we just host ingame and forum events.
tldr we can still ban but ingame policing isn't a priority
