So, I've managed to get a nasty shoulder infection and am not allowed to wear a shirt/bandage or be near people for the next few days. There is also no TV at the hostel I'm staying at and very limited internet so I am bored as tits.

Oh I hope you get better soon. This often happens everywhere in the world. Tourists go to places they think is fun but they don't know about the potential dangers. My cousin went to Malaysia and wanted to go to the wilderness there because it's supposed to be fun. He got bitten by an insect and almost died in the hospital there.
