Also wtf do you guys do when you throw someone into a bridge Drives me maaaaad

Not sure what 'soto hane goshi' is but heres what hane goshi should look like.

Very nice throws, although the second one was on uke. When my opponent bridges after a throw, I usually apply pin pressure on their chest, but if that isn't working bail and try another move. Another method is to prevent them from bridging by using momentum during the throw. Idk, that's my viewpoint if someone bridges after a throw, and yeah it may be quite annoying.

I got 2 throws that I would like to share, but I need help naming them.

Yea I've seen that counter/save all over but nobody has ever really labeled it.

Its funny it kind of reminds me of ronda rousey's transition in that 14s submission fight

I actually have some replays of the "cartwheel."
2nd one is me saving myself from a hip throw and then hitting my own throw.
1st one is aquita almost getting me with the counter.

Well, I'd like to point out that I've always been taught that Hane Goshi was always with a bent sweeping leg inside uke's legs. But forgive me, I should have elaborated a little bit. "Soto hane goshi" is basically a throw I made up in real life, gave it a japanese name because I like the way they sound better than most other names. I named it "soto' hane goshi' because of the basic "springing" (hane) action in the throw, with the prefix "soto" meaning "outside" or "outer." Not a pure-bred judo throw, I admit.

To answer your question though, I usually try to fracture shoulders and pecs and stuff like that prior to the throw, to avoid the bridge. If I have inside grips I will usually force their arms to bend, or do a "wrist pop."

This may help you with the sode tsuri komi goshi. When I do this throw in Toribash, I relax my leading shoulder when turning in for the throw, while my inner shoulder actually lifts the uke off the ground slightly, taking his ground control while I'm vulnerable, a.k.a hopping into position. I would only execute this throw both on Toribash and real life after a jerk in the opposite direction. The torque from the false pull, say for example going for a sasae tsuri komi ashi will do one of two things: actually throw you opponent, or cause them to react, resisting your initial throw, until you add their resistance to your secondary throw, tsuri komi goshi.

First one is a koshi garuma, and a very nice one. I've never seen a judo throw involve ripping people's arms off before
Re: bridge after throws

best plan is to stop them from developing by staying close and following up on your throws. try to structure your throws to force them to lower one arm or at make it harder for them to get both arms raised. catching limbs with a an active grab but free grab can work or hooks.

akidofatwersdfds
in this replay i am able to catch the far leg before he can bridge and stretching his arms to make life harder. finished with a cheeky ungrab.
akido gnpsfdsfsdsdfds
example of using 2 hooks to secure top after a bridge. One toe under the leg with holding torso. arm out ready to strike or post depending on next turn.
akidohalfguartopwer
leave a posting hand open to strike or post as needed if possible. if you won the grab exchange you can transfer their grab somehwhere and free up a hand. if you lost and have an active grab try to force a self grab.

Yes good points from monkey. And nice heavy half guard too!

Heres some nice new replays for yas

seoi nage (5) - i check his kick and turn out. He almost sweeps my leg but not before my weight transfer to the new base leg. You see the whole time im yanking his arm up to lift and when i start to bend he goes up. Arm swap and he's in the worst possible positing and i finish by extending ankles and contracting both hips.

spiral double wrap - I shoot a deeeep double wrap and he's spinning. I continue the momentum and drop him. Didn't have a chance.

full guard (2) - after failing ouchi gari i pull guard. Very trick when he grips both my arms, making it difficult to post as he takes me to the floor. So i hip out, post one foot on the floor and post with my left hand. My other leg sweeps him and then quickly reverts back to hooking.

ponzo (single leg suplex) - Had a lot of good matches with ponzo. I shoot around his hip and he locks up what looks like a guillotine (his decap game is no joke). But he sees the bad situation and grabs my leg. But my base leg is still free so i bach arch and then raise him over me. ggs.

can some one give me a link to tplmod so i can see iprime's damn glitched replays.
