Also hey bro it's been fine, if a bit sleep deprived. Mornings are too early over here. :v
As for digital arting software, most people will of course recommend Photoshop, but if you want things that are actually free, i'd recommend Krita or GIMP. One of my friends uses a thing called Fire Alpaca or something, i've no experience with it, but he certainly uses it well. Krita is more geared towards drawing, while GIMP is probably better for editing, so i use both for what they're best at. :v

Honestly, this kind of doodling is fun enough that i might well continue past the inktobers and do more of them. Easy to do, requires minimal thought, and i don't have a mental image of them that can be wronged. :v
