420 Was a close game. Again, my style uses the opponents energy to cause them to dq - I never go for dms.

That hip throw wasn't a hip throw because your hips were way out.
the 420 replay was good

You're thinking about it from the ass end back...

When you do a guard sweep, you're getting into a guard position (give me a second, I'll explain what that is) and basically doing a turnover from there. You don't need a really high, extravagant throw arc. All that matters is that you pull guard one way or the other, put your hand on the ground, and pick them up and put them on their back.

Now to what a guard is: In Toribash we don't really distinguish between guarding and mounting as real martial arts do, so take the terms "guarding" and "mounting" as synonyms.

I'll upload a few full guard replays and the guard sweep I used to make it in the tier.

Notice that in all the replays I wrap my legs around my opponent's torso and use it to manipulate them. That's what guarding/mounting is.

You didn't really get any sweeping motion. Ask aquita to clarify for you.

To answer your question on DC, iPrime:

A double leg wrap is pretty self-explanatory, the only issue I had with it was getting into a good position to execute the technique.A leg wrap is exactly what it sounds like, you use an arm to grab a leg, while wrapping around the other leg at the same time.

Here's what troubled me at first-- the ability to get into a good position to do this move. I found it useful to turn my chest to one side, grabbing with the hand that would come forward and contracting that pec, while I extend my other pec and bring that shoulder down, elbow and wrist held/relaxed. In conjunction with this, I find it beneficial to drop down into a squat or snake stance so my opponent's legs are closer to my wrapping hand. If your opponent turns to one side as is common, it should be easier to grab the back leg. Using the grip that I acquired with my trailing arm (upper body grip, most commonly hand-to-hand grip) I push myself to the ground, making sure I have something to stand on down there at the same time with the squat I mentioned earlier, then you can just use pin pressure to secure a DQ in most cases.

You need to make sure that your arm wraps around the inside leg while you grab the outside leg, or else the technique would be considered an overturn single leg takedown. I'll post a replay of this, so you can identify the difference.

Once you get the wrap set, you're damn near guaranteed to get a DQ, but if you get a grab on the thigh and a high leg wrap, your opponent may have a chance to sit on your arm, causing you to DQ. (I've had this happen once) To avoid this, think about rotating your opponent so that their shoulders hit the floor before their glutes.

With the double wrapp beware of the decap as with any move that shoots low and has a lowered arm. If they have the arm on the same side as your leg wrapping arm lowered beware of the underhook. The underhook can stall out ur takedown and because your head is exposed and or pressed into them you'll probably be at a points loss. If bailing on it single legs or a body lock are there waiting for you
No. In judo terms I'd count it as a double-handed sode makikomi. For it to be counted as a seoi nage, you would have to throw over your shoulder, not around it. Check out this one:
