Mod ranks was what kept the competition alive.

Mod ranks are (sort of) still a thing (only for ranked server mods), however they are just plagued by players who farm on new members for a high rank and ELO; the whole system needs revitalizing and addressing.

I feel like mod ranks were removed because people would constantly farm the rank in unofficial servers with their mates. I don't think it would ever be competitive because of how easy it is to abuse such ranking system
