How to freeze frame a replay?
I'd like how to freeze a frame from a replay and make the replay froze on only that frame for as long as it lasts.

i dont exactly understand what your're trying to do, but you can pause a replay with " P " and can proceed from that point by pressing Shift + P, you go forward 1 frame everytime you press it.

could you elaborate what youre trying to do?

if i've been playing since 2012 i think id know to pause a replay... x)

What I'm asking is how to freeze a replay at a point in time.
and have that play out through the rest of the replay.

Like say I open a replay and play it, but when it gets to a certain frame (ex. frame 200) , I want tori & uke to freeze in place but having the replay still playing throughout.

probably someone who understands replay hacking will know how to do this

im afraid thats impossible, unfortunately.while i dont really understand replay hacking,im pretty sure that cant be done.

have you seen it anywhere before,to know is even possible.

I have the replay here too :P(I think this is what you're asking for :/)

ahh now i get what is meant.

this is achieved by "hacking" the replay, as in, setting the player position to the same for consecutive frames.

i myself am not that versatile in it, i would make a basic replay with 10 frames, in which i move around to see which values change and would play around with them and see if i can make the tori freeze mid air then test it in a real replay.

otherwise i'd say PM bsquad as he has already done it and he probably can explain it to you.

-snip- nvm oblivion already has a clear tutorial on it

Note: This only works if you freeze your tori for a considerable succession of frames, like 20 or so, or else it isn't noticeable.
Step 1: Open your replay with notepad (you go to your Toribash folder, then to the "replays" folder, right click the desired replay, "Open with", and select notepad)
Step 2: Go to the FRAME line where you want start to completely stop and freeze your Tori (remember that in a 500 matchframes replay, the line "FRAME 100" is what happens on the displayed frame 400 in-game http://imgur.com/eUUTlD5)
Step 3: Delete the POS, QAT, and ANGVEL lines for ALL of the frames where you want the freeze to happen
Step 4: Write the FRAME lines for all of the consecutive frames you want the freeze to last (if you want a freeze from FRAME 400 to FRAME 410, there MUST be a line FRAME 401, a FRAME 402, a FRAME 403, a FRAME 404, FRAME 405, FRAME 406, FRAME 406, FRAME 407, 408, 409, and 410)
Step 5: Replace ALL the LINVEL lines on the frames you want to freeze by this one for tori: LINVEL 0; 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000
Step 6: A successful freeze in notepad should look somewhat like this: http://imgur.com/ne0qzUl

you could use the POS lines instead of LINVEL lines and have the LINVEL lines with zeroes in one of the frames if you want to stop all momentum after the freeze
that way you'd get a way smaller file size but whatever

if you just want it to stop for a while and then continue like it was going to continue normally then don't use LINVEL lines with zeroes at all, just copy POS lines over and over
