Berserk is very good, but not everyones cup of tea. I put it off for like 2 years cos the first few eps were boring af. The later seasons are much better and actionpacked

That's an ok mecha one, try Code Geass as yuki mentioned.
Also try Gundam Build Fighter series and the newest Gundam GBN, it's kind of interesting imo. I mean all the technologies and awesome future shit is there haha.

Currently reading Berserk atm, As for anime I'm planning on finishing the Ashita No Joe series then watch a comedy/slice of life anime like Nichijou (Which I already finished) so
