back when I was still using my mouse to draw I used GIMP a lot, there is krita too but I never got used to it, and sketchbook that I really like and recommend it to you, people talk a lot about mypaint too but I never got to know, can't let PS aside but I just don't know how to use PS

now let's get to the real shit

g'ol Paint Tool SAI which is my favorite and can relate this software is the best, although I'm using PS tools to complement SAI projects because it lacks in "edition" tools

leave the laziness and start reading about these by yourself too >:^( the software you're using depends upon what kind of art you're going to do and which one looks better to you, and I think sketchbook fits to you so, go ahead and take a look at it

I think you drawings are quite good the way you do, so you don't have to bother with linework in my opinion
