Mine is REALLY noisy, you need to listen it to understand the mess it is. And during the night it's worse.

if i can reach it, then i stop it at 1, especially because my microwave lets out a very loud, annoying, high pitched, prolonged sound, not just a ding

if im busy or very distracted then whatever

ring every time, I live in a large house where the kitchen is far from the bedrooms so it will not wake or bother anyone.
