I've got a really irritating problem with my mouse in Toribash. If I use it to move the camera the moment I click to start turning the camera moves to a zoomed out side view. I've had this prob in the last few versions, but back in the Windoze days it never happened once.

Any ideas?

ATM I'm running Gnome 2.20.1, but I've had the same prob with KDE 3.x XFCE 4.x etc.

It's got me baffled, other than that one niggle it runs great - it's just an irritating faff having to place the camera back whenever I try to move it.

I've tried it in 'failsafe' and the same happens there. Same with full screen and windowed mode. I've had the it happen on various distros, and I even went as far as removing my Copperhead and trying another mouse.

Guess I'll just have to practise swinging the camera back quicker!

I've got it behaving a bit better, I dumped the polling rate in my Copperhead's firmware to rock bottom. Now the camera behaves better, but the CPU spikes from it are doing my head in! Hopefully this weekend's upgrade'll help in some way.

Meh, another day and the damned prob reappeared.

I've done a debug log as you suggested and got totally lost! SDL never was my thing. Anyhoo, I did a quick google and I'm guessing that a WarpMouse could be the cause of it, and it does appear in the log randomly.

Anyhoo, I've attached a cut down log (damned file size limits) cos I get the feeling you'll be able to read it better than me.
