Pearlescent joint and gridant colours.
Simple to have a set of joint colours like

Instead of normal gloss colours, it would allow for even more options in different colours since there could be up to 3 different tints in one joint.

Things like that would require abusing vertex shaders to work, thus wouldn't show for most players.
