I recently started to ponder this. Why is it regarded as borderline bad parenting when you tell your kid that it is not a magical fat man delivering presents, but actually loving parents. The parents of the kid go out to buy them a present with all their love only to have to cover it up with "Santa brought them". Just seems really illogical, to me, atleast.
