Will Teleportation be possible?
Whats your opinions on this?

Mine is: Teleportation is not possible, but we might be able to achieve a speed that might resemble teleportation

And even after that, how would we use it?
Teleporting from one machine to another? The machines would probably be destroyed.

Absolute freedom as to where you will Teleport (eg. Coding in a location using the different axi and being teleported to it)? What would stop people from abusing such a system.

I can only see Teleporting being used with transferring items. Mail, delivery and so on.

I cannot really see it being used otherwise.

everyone knows if they read it on the internet or saw it on TV is 100% True

anyway, moving from point A to C without B would be impossible, we might be able to accomplish a speed that might seem as skipping B
like the Flash on CW hes able to go so fast that when traveling short distances it looked like he teleported, but then if you gave him his top speed and asked him to run around the planet, it wouldnt be that instant( thought it would be fast) <- thats my idea of what our closest accomplishment of teleportation would be (not talking about becoming the flash :v)

I believe that the closest we now have of transporting between point A to point B very fast is the Hyperloop.

But if we are talking about acelerating our own human speed, then that is highly unprobable. Many things can go wrong if we were to be able, for example, travel 500 meters in a second. Our bodies are simply not built for such speed.

consider any vehicle ever... if we are able to build a suit/machine/etc we could reach said speeds though it might be clunky at first?

dunno but heard on the radio a while ago that scientists developed a way to teleport data not through wifi or smth

don't think it'll ever be possible to teleport a whole human tho

edit: it's called quantum teleportation

I went ahead and added some links about it since this post would've probably had to have been deleted otherwise.

I'm pretty sure there is a limit to how much g force a human body can physically take.
About teleportation, do your cells disappear and reappear somewhere else. Is that person still you or just your cells remade as a different person who looks like you and thinks like you. This stuff gets complicated, don't even think of bringing time travel.
Curious aren't you.

This is another problem with teleportation. Sure, we could transfer the physical body, but will the transfered brain have the same thoughts, memories etc. as the one before the teleport?

I guess that if we wanted to achieve this, we would have to first find a way to digitalize our consciousness, send the data to the place where we would teleport and then let it be un-digitalized and put back into our body.

All in all it looks to me as is teleportation is something that if we get it to work, by that time, any of us on this forum won't be seeing it

Ignoring the whole destroy one body make another theme the idea of teleportation isn't at all possible with the current model of physics that we know.

It's impossible for anything that contains mass to reach the speed of light, this is due to mass increasing as speed increases (only noticeable once you achieve 10% of the speed of light) so to accelerate to the speed of light mass would increase to infinity.

This ain't really discussion material, the science behind it is impossible so unless we're completely wrong about physics teleportation is not possible.

This is true, however it IS theoretically possible to travel from point A to point C without going through point B via wormholes

This is a common diagram used to describe how it works:

As you can see it bypasses the whole not going faster than light problem by just taking a shortcut through space/time

Obviously this is all just theory and has never actually been done due to the complications of finding/creating said wormhole as well as keeping it open.

Also I believe this is my first post in a discussion thread so apologies if I messed something up
I do some videos
Feel free to PM me for any video-related questions
