In a few days I'll be boarding at my new school but I still need to get a laptop. The school recommends Mac but I'm only boarding for a year and I already have an iMac. I have an unlimited budget but obviously I'm not going to buy a laptop that's too expensive.

It needs to be light, pretty small and have a long battery life.

At the moment, my first choice would be a MacBook Air but are there any other laptops that I should consider?

I probably won't play many games on my laptop since I have an iMac already. It's pretty much just for homework. Thanks
